MOSA of Section II
Mission/Scope:
CIGR Section II is a worldwide information platform and task force dealing with issues related to "Engineering for Structures and Environment". It will provide and distribute information, organise, coordinate and co-organise activities, such as working groups, conferences, etc. with strong emphasis of encouraging the involvement of young scientists. Therefore Section II will act as an umbrella organisation for all national committees and set an International Calendar for conferences/workshops etc.
Objectives:
1. Section II will motivate more young researchers from different countries to attend our meetings;
Sub-tasks:
- all country delegates will be asked to provide us with the list of CIGR-members that should receive the CIGR Newsletter by e-mail;
- all interested people will be invited to our Board Meetings as "Special Guests";
- minutes of Section Board Meeting will be send to all Board Members and Special Guests
2. Section II will publish all reports on the CIGR website;
Sub-tasks:
- it has to be checked whether it is possible to register oneself as "interested to receive the newsletter" on the CIGR website;
- list of all reports of Section II;
- the glossary with definitions produced by the "hot Climate Working Group" will be published on the website
3. CIGR Section II will improve and intensify the cooperation with different groups;
Sub-tasks:
- Section II will improve and intensify the cooperation with EurAgEng working group of Air Emission
- Section II will start cooperation with ISHS (international society for horticultural science; http://www.ishs.org/) as decided in the meetings
- Section II will intensify the relation between PLF and aquaculture
