Submitting a Manuscript

To submit a manuscript you must have registered into the system as an Author (See Register to the CIGR Journal). Point your browser to the web site of the CIGR EJournal, www.cigrjournal.org and follow the steps below.
1. After login the screen below will appear, click on “Author”.
2. Your list of active submissions will be shown in the screen. The first time you submit a paper the list will be empty. Submitting a manuscript is a straight forward process that requires 5 steps. Before you initiate the submission make sure that you have:
2.1 The manuscript as an MS-Word 2003 file (many reviewers don’t have access to 2007) that is formatted using the CIGR EJournal template. Manuscripts not using this template will not be accepted for review.
2.2 An MS-Word 2003 file that contains a list of three suggested reviewers, including their name, email, and affiliation. These reviewers may be used at the discretion of the Editorial Board.
3. To submit a new paper, click on “CLICK HERE” under start a new submission (See below).
4. The paper submission process is a five step process. Make sure that you carefully enter complete information in each one of the steps. During each one of the steps the screen will show detailed instructions. The steps are:
4.1 Select the Journal Section that your manuscript is intended for, you will be asked to complete a submission checklist and optional comments to the Editor.
4.2 Enter information about each of the authors, the complete title and abstract of the paper as well as the supporting agencies. It is recommended that you cut and paste the abstract from Word to avoid spelling and grammatical errors.
4.3 Upload the manuscript file. Instructions are clearly indicated on the web page.
4.4 Upload the Word file containing the names of the suggested reviewers as a supplementary file. A screen will open asking you to describe the file. All that is needed is an appropriate title.
4.5 Finish the submission.
With this you will have completed a manuscript submission to the CIGR EJournal. You can check on the progress of the review process by logging into the system and selecting the active publication you are interested in.
