Board Meeting Part B on 31 August 2008 in Iguassu Falls City, Brazil

  1. Updates of CIGR Section II official delegates
    1. Daniel Berckmans asks Panos Panagakis to confirm that his colleagues have agreed that he represents Greece in the Section II Board.
    2. The same is asked to Inbok Lee to represent Korea.
    3. The same is asked to Victoria Blanes Vidal to represent Spain.
    4. All people are invited to participate as “Special guests”.
  2. CIGR website
    1. The website becomes more powerful. This is organized by Fedro Zazueta.
    2. Section II will bring all produced reports in the website.
    3. The glossary with definitions produced by the “hot Climate Working Group” will be put on the website. This is organized by Panos Panagakis.
      1. A one page leaflet will be made to inform people that such a glossary of definitions is available on the website. No costs are accepted.
      2. A paper is submitted to ASABE and Eurageng to present the glossary of definitions.
    4. All country delegates will be asked to provide us with the list of CIGR-members that should receive the CIGR Newsletter by e-mail.
    5. The URL of the CIGR website is http://www.cigr.org/Section2Farmbuildngsequimentstructuresandenvironment.htm
    6. We check whether it is possible to register yourself as “interested to receive the newsletter”.
    7. It would be interesting to link the name of individuals to the keywords of their research.
    8. We should use the CIGR-Website as the meeting point for information.
      1. All info about conferences should be submitted to Fedro Zazueta (section VII chair) to be put on the Section II conference information.
  3. Activities
    1. CIGR Section II will collaborate with the EURAGENG Working Group on Air Emissions. Their meetings should be announced on the CIGR-Website.
    2. EU-PLF Actions
      1. Proposal for COST-proposal submitted twice. Twice not accepted.
    3. PLF call
      1. Proposal submitted, but it was not accepted
      2. No Section II Reviewers in EU-list of reviewers
      3. We ask all Section II members to register as EU-reviewers. The procedure can be found at this URL: https://cordis.europa.eu/emmfp7/index.cfm?fuseaction=wel.welcome
    4. All available info about project deadlines should be on the CIGR-websi
  4. Conferences
    1. Sessions on Emission measuring techniques will be organized by Section II in Quebec 2010. Takai Horsens (Denmark) takes the lead to contact people for a strong session.
    2. Aquaculture: Section II organizes a session on Aquaculture in the ECPLF-meeting in Wageningen. Ilan Halachmi is asked to take the lead.

      4. André Aarnink and Thomas Banhazi will be asked to distribute papers for reviewing
      5. Impact Factor approval by ISI might come soon?
    3. Financial situation of CIGR Section II: We have $500 Suggestions to use the money can always be given
