1st European Congress on
"Agricultural and Food Ethics"
This congress will be held on 4-6 March, 1999 in Wageningen, The Netherlands.
The aim of the congress is to promote selection and prioritizing of important issues, identification of possibilities for joint action and establishment of the European Society for Agricultural and Food Ethics (EUR-SAFE). Target groups are: researchers, philosophers, entrepreneurs, managers, policy-makers, (non-) governmental organizations, etc. involved in the agricultural and food sector in Europe.
The programme includes workshops on the following three main topics:
1.The use of natural resources and animals
2.Application of biotechnology in particular related to world food dilemmas
3.Professional ethics in agricultural science and industries
