This overview is supplemented by an extensive bibliography, which comprises national as well as international publications.

Thanks to the bilingual text (as of the 1991 edition), the "Yearbook Agricultural Engineering" has gained wide acceptance in English-speaking countries.

Proceedings of the 1998 International Workshop on Conservation Tillage for Sustainable Agriculture

In June 1998, an international workshop on Conservation Tillage for Sustainable Agriculture was held in Harare/Zimbabwe. The proceedings of the workshop cover concepts, policy recommendations, and action plans for implementing conservation tillage practices. They also contain interesting technical papers on conservation tillage experiences in Africa and other regions of the World. The proceedings are published in a new web-site shared by the FAO Soil Resources Management and Conservation Service (AGLS) and the FAO Agricultural Engineering Branch (AGSE) called "Networking for Conservation Agriculture". The web site also covers concepts of conservation agriculture and the work of the Latin American Conservation Agriculture Network. For more information visit the site at:
