DLG-Award for Prof. Giuseppe Pellizzi
During the Agritechnica'99 in Hanover, Germany, Prof. Giuseppe Pellizzi, CIGR President 1993-1994, was awarded the DLG medal of extraordinary achievements for his committment to international co-operation by the President of DLG, Philip Freiherr von dem Bussche.
ICID New President and New Vice Presidents
In its 50th meeting in Granada, Spain, the International Executive Council of ICID elected Dr. Bart Schulz from the Netherlands as the President of ICID for the term 1999-2002.
In the same meeting three new Vice Presidents were elected: Mr. Ricardo Segura of Spain, Dr. Keizrul bin Abdullah of Malaysia, and Dr. F. Ligetvari of Hungary. Our congratulations to these new Office Bearers.
