6th International ATW-Symposium "Plant Protection for Wine and Fruit Cultivation"
The Symposium, which is co-sponsored by CIGR and which will be one of the supporting acts during INTERVITIS INTERFRUCTA 2001, will take place from 14-16 May, 2001 in Stuttgart, Germany. The development of new application techniques in fruit and wine cultivation on the one hand and a world-wide growing interest in environmental protection on the other are the reasons why the German Committee for Winegrowing Technique (ATW) wishes to re-discuss and review the results of the symposium on plant protection of 1989.

IV International Conference MICROPROCESSOR SYSTEMS IN AGRICULTURE
The conference will take place from 28-29 May 2001 in Plock, Poland. It is organised by the Institute of Mechanical Engineering of the Warsaw University of Technology in co-operation with two Research Centres, the Institute of Production Engineering and Building Research of the Federal Research Centre of Agriculture Braunschweig-Völkenrode (FAL) Germany, and the National Research Centre of the Institute for Mechanisation and Electrification of Agriculture of the Ukrainian Academy of Agrarian Sciences. The purpose of this Conference is to provide a forum for the presentation and discussion of the state-of-art of microprocessor systems in agriculture and related areas. The preferable official language of the Conference is English. Russian will also be accepted. The main topics will be:
- modelling of processes, artificial intelligence and expert systems
- designing, programming and testing of microprocessor systems
