60th International Conference on Agricultural Engineering: "Agricultural Engineering for Environmental Protection" in Halle
This conference, organised by VDI-MEG in cooperation with EurAgEng, will be held on 9 to 10 October 2002 in Halle, Germany. It will be hosted by the Institute of Agricultural Engineering and Land Use Management at the Martin-Luther-University in Halle-Wittenberg.
The main topics of the conference will be:
- Tractors: Concepts, powertrain, interfaces to implements, use and economics
- Automation Technology: Electro hydraulic systems, electronics, sensor technology, mechatronics
- Sugar Beet Technology: Crop growing and harvesting systems
- Precision Farming
- Renewable Energy Sources and Industry: Basic Materials
- Industrial Product Development
- Cultivation and Tillage: Equipment, process, soil conservation
- Environmental Engineering: Waste industry, sustainable materials, recycling
- Logistics in Agricultural Engineering: Agricultural logistics material flow management
- Marketing, Service, Sales
In the pre-program, automation technology, the main working area of the hosting Institute, will be the topic of a special colloquium. The technologies for sugar beet production and processing will be presented and discussed parallel to this colloquium.
The conference languages will be English and German; simultaneous translation will not be available.
