'95 International Symposium on Non-Pollution Vegetable and Green Food Engineering

This Symposium will be held in Beijing, P.R. China on 14-17 November 1995.

Environment protection and pollution prevention have been of vital interest to man throughout the world. Along with the appeararlce of "Organic Agriculture" which is affected by the movemerlt of "Environment Protection" and "Return-to-Nature", "Organic Food" has gained rapid development in comparison with common food. Now many countries in the world have established related regulations, policies and strict monitoring criteria for the quality of food and environment.

Green food engineering is a large systematic engineering which merges scientific research, production, environment production, food sanitation and nutrition into an organic whole, it also relates to plantation, aquaculture, processing, marketing and many other aspects. In the whole process of vegetable and food production there are a lot of factors related to their quality and further to consumer's health, such as fertilizers, pesticides, growth hormones, air, soil, irrigation water, post-processing technology, package equipment etc. Therefore in order to rise people's awareness of non-pollution, safety, high quality and nourishment vegetable and green food, to establish and develop vegetable and food industry which includes vegetable and food production, research, processing, marketing, and environment protection and monitoring - the Chinese Society of ù Agricultural Engineering (CSAE) is organizing the '95 International Symposium on Non-Pollution Vegetable and Green Food Engineering, co-hosted with the China Green Food Development Center.

This Symposium is an academic gathering wherein growers, researchers and engineers in the field of vegetable and food engineering from all over the world have the opportunity to exchange their experiences and products and promote scientific and technological cooperation. The symposium will cover all aspects of non-pollution vegetable and green food engineering with emphasis on:
