Biography:
Peter Demeyer is senior expert in Livestock Emission Risk Assessment (LERA). He is based in the Agricultural Engineering Department at the Flanders Research Institute for Agriculture, Fisheries and Food in Merelbeke (Belgium). He holds a PhD in Bioscience Engineering from Ghent University. His current activities focus on the characterisation of livestock emissions and related reduction technologies, including methodological approaches integrating measuring, monitoring and modelling. He is PI and co-PI on collaborative National and International projects funded by the Flemish government and EU. He is member of several national and international scientific/technical committees (Flemish Scientific Team, Dutch RAV-TAP, VERA, EU ETV) and boards (VERA, CIGR Section II).
